Previously, I have talked about the importance of understanding the mindset of your hungry target market that are desperate for a solution to their problems. And your job as an internet marketer is to find out the exact keywords they would type in the search engines. And those keywords speak volumes in terms of how your hungry market is telling you specifically what they need and want. And when they do, they just don’t type in one keyword. I have found out that they type multiple sets of keywords to create possibly a unique keyword sentence!!! Yes!! That is right!! A niche keyword phrase in a sentence that most internet marketers are not even focusing on at all! This is the essence of niche market domination.
In the previous post, I talked about my previous experience in frantically searching for an acne product that would solve my acne problems. In the beginning of my search, I was typing in the keywords “HOW TO GET RID OF ACNE”. As a result, I didn’t get the search results I was hoping for because I needed something very specific that addresses key issues pertaining to my acne problem. There was a lot of duplicate content on the internet with either the same information or a slight variation of it. So just to give you an idea, there were a lot of websites competing for the keyword “HOW TO GET RID OF ACNE.” None of them were very specific about how to get rid of acne!! What??
How specific are the internet marketers supposed to be about how to get rid of acne? You ask? If you say I am a very picky person, you are indeed right. This is one key factor that a lot of struggling internet marketers don’t somehow grasp. This is the fundamental basics of understanding the mindset of a typical online shopper. Online shoppers are very picky and they are selfish, like I was at that time, and still am today as an occasional online shopper. When I am desperate for a solution to my problem, I don’t give a crap about anybody else but MYSELF whether you like it or not.
And that is exactly the mindset I had when I was desperately searching for an acne solution. So after a series of keyword attempts, I eventually typed in a unique keyword phrase “HOW TO GET RID OF ACNE WITH HIGH QUALITY NUTRITION.” And as a result, I found exactly what I was looking for in a form an e-book which I payed for. The book was by an author who goes by the name of Mr. X Acne. If you are suffering from acne, I highly recommend that e-book.
Now what is the moral of this marketing lesson? And what does it have to do with helping you climb higher in the Google search engines? In case you didn’t know, it does. That is where people fail at the most popular web 2.0 social media marketing tactics especially when they don’t take the time to understand the fundamental basics of how people search online with niche keywords that they invented in their brain. And those keywords are clues of what they are looking for SPECIFICALLY in a product. Let me give you an example of what I am talking about.
Noticed that the keyword phrase “HOT TO GET RID OF ACNE” is not as specific as the niche keyword phrase “HOW TO GET RID OF ACNE WITH HIGH QUALITY NUTRITION.” Did you know that there are two keyword phrases in the second one? “How to get rid of acne” and “high quality nutrition” are the two high demand keywords I am talking about. So what conclusion can you arrive at, based on the previous example regarding my frantic search for an acne solution?
You should already know that I highly value “HIGH QUALITY NUTRITION” as an acne solution. And guess what, I got what I wanted in a form of an e-book by the smart marketer (Mr. X Acne) who seems to be the only one who understood my specific needs for “HIGH QUALITY NUTRITION.”
So you are now wondering about the Google Adwords (keywords) quality score factor that Google implements to determine your page rank for a specific keyword? I will reveal that secret right now. If you think that your high page rankings is mostly based on the number of back links coming from other sites, then you need to get out of that losing mindset right now. What I am about to reveal is going to shock you.
Google places a lot of emphasis on the keyword variations that people search for on the internet!! Keyword variations is not the same as KEYWORDS. For example, if you were to type the keywords “CONSTIPATION RELIEF” and “HIGH FIBER FRUITS”, my site would come up on the first pages of Google. If you think I happen to come up because of the high number of back links coming from high ranking sites as in the case of article directories, then you are flat out wrong.
I came up on the first pages of Google because I am the only one who FIRST talked about using “HIGH FIBER FRUITS” to get rid of constipation. Do you see how specific I am about “HOW TO GET RID OF CONSTIPATION?” In other words, Google loves specificity. Remember that!! GOOGLE LOVES SPECIFICITY. The more specific you are with your keyword selection, the better chance you have to stand out from the internet marketing competition. And when I say specific, I do mean that you have to be truly unique. For example, I invented the keyword phrase,”CONSTIPATION RELIEF WITH FRUITS”. Is that unique or what? Do you see how specific I was regarding the subject of constipation relief?
And the other reason why I came up on the first pages of Google in the above example was because Google places a lot of weight on the variety of keywords being used by the internet searcher. In other words, if my site keeps coming up as a result of them typing in those specific keyword variations, I earn Google points for those exact keywords even if my site comes up as a first page impression without any clicks. And those Google points keep on accumulating and therefore increasing my ranking power of those niche specific keywords. This is exactly how the Google Adwords (keywords) Quality Score system works!! Thinks of your keywords as a score card that Google keep tabs on, based on how many people typed in those keywords that you happen to be targeting in your blog posts (articles) or website.
So be creative and unique with your keyword selection. That is the initial step you should take before you start immersing yourself in the more popular internet marketing strategies of Web 2.0 and article marketing. As far as building a massive downline organization is concerned, this is really critical. You must teach your downline those important marketing skills of recognizing the needs of your MLM prospects before you teach about social media marketing. Your job as a network marketer is to help your prospects realize that they have a need and want for your MLM product or opportunity.
And you accomplish this by educating everyone who you enroll in your downline this very important principle. If not, they will be dropping out like flies from lack of understanding of the basic fundamental marketing principles because they are going to fail as a result of signing up people who are not serious prospects or consumers. To retain a strong MLM organization, you must spend time to educate every downline member of yours the very basics of Google search and how customers search online with specific niche keywords that your downline members can match with a solutions-oriented product. Like for example, the e-book I bought was a product about solving my acne problems.
